Eric Carpendale, Alberta NDP candididate for Calgary-Glenmore
Email Eric Carpendale

Eric grew up and attended school in Sylvan Lake. Upon graduation he joined the Canadian Armed forces and completed his apprenticeship to become a journeyman electrician.

Eric has demonstrated his leadership skills volunteering with CADS (Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing), by working with Habitat for Humanity building homes in Calgary for low income families, with the Alberta Electrical League as a board member and as a coach for a boys peewee baseball team. An active lifestyle also sees Eric managing and playing in an adult hockey league in Calgary.

IBEW 424 (Alberta’s Electrical Workers), recognized Eric as a leader and recruited him in 2003, first as an Organizer then promoting him to Assistant Business Manager soon after. Eric has always been a strong voice on issues that matter to average Calgary families. Like his neighbours Eric is concerned about health care being available when and where families need it. He is concerned that there is good quality long term care and services for our seniors. He is passionate about making life affordable for ordinary Alberta families, advocating for lower insurance rates, electricity rates, prescription drug fees and child care costs.

He lives in Calgary with his wife Nicole and their two children, Kaitlyn and Jackson.
