Denise Woollard is a proud third-generation Albertan who is passionate about life-long education. After pursing her Masters in Education, Woollard was teacher and education psycologist in northern and central Alberta before moving to become a University Facilitator at the University of Alberta.
She is an avid volunteer for local libraries, the Edmonton Folk Music Festival and the Citadel Theatre, as well as the provincial and federal wings of the New Democratic Party.
She strongly believes in having a transparent and responsible government which listens to the people it represents and understands that it is the steward of the province and its resources.
She is married, with two children and one grandchild.
