Irfan Sabir has been living in Calgary since 2004. He has a degree in Economics from University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and a degree in Social Work and Law from the University of Calgary, Alberta.
Sabir has been involved with politics and human rights movements since graduating from high school. He has worked with a homeless shelter in Calgary for five years and volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance and Red Cross Canada. At present, Sabir practices Aboriginal law with a boutique national Aboriginal law firm. He is also involved with and passionate about community issues, universal health care, quality education, social housing, and access to justice issues and social justice for all.
