Kathleen Ganley was born in Edmonton and grew up in Calgary. Ganely has experience as a labour and employment lawyer in Calgary, primarily representing employees and unions in dealing with a variety of work related issues. She has earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts (first class honours) in Philosophy, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary. She was awarded the Silver Medallion in philosophy in 2008.
Ganely is passionate about volunteerism and has been volunteering continuously since she was 12 years old. She has volunteered at day camps, as a swim coach, in community theater, in a patient care unit at the hospital, and provided pro bono legal services.
She believes that Alberta is stronger when families have access to education, health care, and fair wages. Ganely continues to advocate for transparency in government and evidence-based decision making.
