Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse aims to lead Alberta with a vision of unity, resilience, and innovation. With roots in Michel First Nation – Treaty 6, her campaign for Premier of Alberta is built on addressing climate change, economic prosperity, and fostering inclusive communities. Her leadership style is informed by Indigenous wisdom, educational achievements in Native Studies and Resource Economics, and hands-on experience with social issues, including water security, racism, child and family services, and indigenous health. Jodi has demonstrated a commitment to social innovation, community service, and advocacy, showcasing a readiness to listen, collaborate, and provide solutions for Alberta’s pressing challenges.

Kathleen Ganley was first elected in 2015, and served as the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General in the Notley Government. She represents the riding of Calgary-Mountain View.

Kathleen is focused on making sure the economy works for people — that means working people can afford rent, food, and a few extras. She is also passionate about building a winning team with the competence and experience to form government in 2027. Kathleen has proposed to cut costs, hike wages, support workers and give party members a greater voice. She has support from many colleagues, including campaign co-chairs Shannon Phillips and Irfan Sabir, two former party leaders, Raj Pannu and Brian Mason and countless longtime NDP volunteers and supporters.

Before being elected Kathleen worked as a labour and employment lawyer and McGown Johnson. She has degrees in psychology, philosophy, and law.

Sarah Hoffman grew up in Kinuso, a small rural community where her dad was the school principal and her mom taught kindergarten.

Sarah was a two-term trustee and Chair of the Edmonton Public School Board before defeating a Conservative cabinet minister in 2015. Rachel Notley named her Deputy Premier and Minister of Health.

Sarah built the Calgary Cancer Centre, a new ER at the Misericordia Hospital, and kept rural hospitals open. She stopped harassment outside abortion clinics and made Alberta the first province to fully fund the abortion pill and PrEP.

Sarah has won five elections in a row by working hard and staying true to our NDP values. Her campaign is built on three key issues - Health, Climate, and Housing.

Gil McGowan, a prominent labour activist, has been fighting for Alberta workers' rights for 30+ years. As the Alberta Federation of Labour leader, McGowan has spent his career working closely with workers and their unions to develop real solutions to the problems Albertans face that support workers and their families. He has worked to protect public services, negotiate transition programs for coal workers, and diversify Alberta's economy. McGowan has advised provincial and federal governments on energy and labour policies. He grew up in rural Alberta and has a background in journalism. McGowan, a long-time member of the New Democratic Party, has been active in several unions throughout his career. Gil is also a proud father of three amazing young adults.

Naheed Nenshi served as Calgary’s mayor for three terms between 2010 and 2021. During his time as mayor, Calgary was named the third best city to live in globally.

His leadership saw an unprecedented investment in quality of life including transit, roads, recreation centers and libraries, including the magnificent Central Library - all while keeping taxes the lowest in Canada.

Naheed previously served as a professor at the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University. He was also a management consultant for McKinsey & Company.

He is a proud first-generation Canadian of Indian ancestry, whose parents immigrated from Tanzania. His family and his Ismaili Muslim faith instilled in him the ethic of seva -service to the community- something he tries to live every day.
