Marg McCuaig-Boyd was born in Calgary but has lived in the Peace Country for many years. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and she also holds a Masters degree in Administration and Leadership from San Diego State University. McCuaig-Boyd and her husband, Dan, have lived in the Fairview area on their farm since 1980. They have two adult children, Jocelyn and Tyson.
McCuaig-Boyd was a teacher and administrator with Peace River School Division for more than 20 years. She left public education to take an executive position as Vice-President, Fairview Campus with Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC). She left GPRC in June 2013 and started a consulting company doing contract work with small and medium businesses.
Through her career, she has worked in the constituency and is aware of its diversity. She also has extensive experience in public and post-secondary education, knowledge of trades and industry and experience with mixed farming.
