Brandy Payne was first elected on May 5th, 2015 as the MLA for Calgary-Acadia. She became Associate Minister of Health on February 2, 2016. During her time in office Brandy has also served as the Deputy Chair of the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee and as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.
Brandy holds a Journalism degree from Carleton University. She has also attended Mount Royal College, taking numerous courses in project management.
Before being elected, Brandy worked in administrative and management capacities for over 15 years, including as owner and operator of her own yoga business since 2010.
Brandy and her husband, Scott, are raising two young daughters, Zoe and Cassidy, and the family loves calling Calgary home.
