UCP’s new candidate believes climate change is a 'hoax': Does Kenney agree?

CALGARY – The UCP nominated Randy Kerr in Calgary-Beddington last night, even though he believes climate change is a conspiracy and a “hoax.” Does Jason Kenney share his views?

When asked by the media why they didn’t think sharing conspiracy theories about climate change was a “bozo eruption,” the UCP used Jason Kenney’s own words to defend him.[1]

Jason Kenney has repeatedly downplayed climate change. He’s said “the climate has been changing since the beginning of time,” that “CO2 is not pollution,” and that conspiracy theories about climate change being a hoax are part of a “legitimate range of perspectives about exactly to what degree anthropogenic causes are behind climate change”. [2][3]

Randy Kerr and Jason Kenney are long-time friends. Clearly, they share a lot of the same views. Does Kenney share Kerr’s thinking that climate change is a “hoax”?
