Julia Hayter is devoted to the well-being of her community, and she has been fighting for it since the day she arrived at the legislature.
Before being elected as the MLA for Calgary-Edgemont, Julia worked as an Education Assistant, volunteered with not-for-profits supporting people with disabilities, and served as Chair and Vice-Chair of her children's school council.
She knows what Calgary families need because she is raising three school-age children in northwest Calgary herself.
As Shadow Minister for the Status of Women, Julia has been a persistent voice for women's equity, pushing back on UCP cuts to front-line services and fighting for the supports families depend on. She believes every Albertan deserves well-funded public schools, accessible health care, and a strong, diversified economy.
Julia Hayter is ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
