Kathleen Ganley is a lawyer, a three-term MLA, and one of the most experienced voices in the Alberta legislature.
Kathleen served as Alberta's Minister of Justice and Solicitor General from 2015 to 2019, where she introduced landmark legislation protecting human rights, including gender identity and expression, led the province's cannabis legalization file, and delivered a rural crime strategy that reduced property crime by over 10% in under a year.
Before entering politics, she built her career in labour, employment, and human rights law.
As Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate, Kathleen is holding the UCP accountable on the issues that matter most to Alberta's economic future. She has introduced private members' bills to raise the minimum wage and protect workers from political interference in government accountability.
She lives in Calgary-Mountain View with her daughter.
Kathleen Ganley is ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
