Joe Ceci was first elected on May 5th, 2015 as the MLA for Calgary-Fort. He became President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Finance on May 24th, 2015.
Before being elected to the Legislature, Joe worked as a public policy manager with a community-based charitable organization in Calgary. Prior to that, he served as a City of Calgary Alderman for 15 years. Before his time on the city council, Joe worked as a community social worker.
Joe's community involvement spans more than 30 years, and has included being Chair of the Board of Directors for the Folk Festival Society of Calgary. He has also served as a board member for both Habitat for Humanity and Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Social Work from the University of Calgary.
Joe and his wife Christine are proud to call Calgary home.
