RED DEER - The Alberta NDP has officially nominated Michelle Baer as its candidate for Red Deer-South.
Michelle Baer knows what it takes to strengthen her community. From coordinating family and community support in the non-profit sector to serving as a municipal lawyer, Baer has worked every day to make life better for the people around her.
“Red Deer is my home, and I’m proud to be the Alberta NDP candidate for Red Deer-South,” said Michelle Baer. “I’ve spent my career helping people, solving problems, and building stronger communities. I’m ready to stand up for Red Deer and work on the issues that matter most to Albertans: affordability, healthcare, and education.”
As Chair of the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter board and a leader in refugee sponsorship, Michelle has a proven record of community service. A proud Canadian, proud Albertan, and longtime Red Deer resident, she is ready to bring her experience and commitment to public service to the Legislature.
“Michelle has dedicated her life to serving others,” said Naheed Nenshi, Leader of Alberta’s NDP. “Whether she was supporting families in the non-profit sector, volunteering in her community, or working as a lawyer, she has always stepped up to help people.
“Red Deer-South residents want an MLA who will fight for their priorities, including healthcare, affordability and national unity, and Michelle will be an outstanding advocate for her community.”
Michelle Baer is ready. Alberta’s New Democrats are ready.
