Kim Schreiner was first elected on May 5th, 2015 as the MLA for Red Deer-North. She is the Deputy Chair for the Legislature's Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund. She is also a member on the Special Standing Committee on Members' Services and on the Standing Committee on Alberta's Economic Future.
Before being elected, Kim worked as a health care aide. She has worked with Valley Park Manor, Covenant Care and Extendicare. Kim was also a steward and occupational health and safety representative for her Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) local. She has also done work with resident advisory and family councils.
Kim holds a health care aide certificate from NorQuest College. Kim has called Red Deer home for over 30 years.
